Introduction (According to Hindu Mythology)

Mount Kailash, revered as the abode of Lord Shiva, is one of the most sacred pilgrimage destinations in Hinduism. According to Hindu mythology, it is the spiritual center of the universe and the seat of eternal power. Devotees believe that a journey to Kailash and a holy dip in the adjacent Lake Mansarovar cleanses one of all sins and grants Moksha (liberation).This yatra is not only a spiritual journey but also a profound inward experience of devotion, endurance, and self-discovery.           

09 Days Kailash Mansarovar Ex Lucknow Yatra 2026

Day 01: Lucknow to Nepalgunj

Meet our representative at Lucknow and begin the journey to Nepalgunj by road (190 km, 4-5 hrs). Light refreshments will be served en route. Upon arrival, check into the hotel and attend the Kailash Yatra briefing session in the evening.

Overnight stay at Nepalgunj.

Day 02: Fly to Simikot
Early morning flight to Simikot (2910m). The flight schedule depends entirely on weather conditions. Upon arrival, rest and acclimatize. If weather permits, helicopter transfer to Hilsa may be arranged on the same day.

Day 03: Simikot – Hilsa – Taklakot

Fly by helicopter from Simikot to Hilsa. Cross the Nepal-China border and complete immigration formalities. Continue by vehicle to Taklakot and spend the remainder of the day acclimatizing.

Day 04: Taklakot to Holy Lake Mansarovar
Drive towards Lake Mansarovar and witness the first sacred view of Mount Kailash. Visit Rakshas Taal, perform rituals at Mansarovar, and complete the lake parikrama by vehicle.

Overnight stay near Lake Mansarovar.

Day 05: Mansarovar to Darchen

Perform holy rituals and prayers at Lake Mansarovar. After breakfast, proceed to Darchen, the base camp of Mount Kailash.

Day 06: Yamdwar & Trek to Dirapuk
Drive to Yamdwar, the gateway to liberation, and begin the sacred Kailash Parikrama. Trek approximately 12 km to Dirapuk and enjoy spectacular views of the North Face of Mount Kailash.

Overnight stay at Dirapuk.

Day 07: Dirapuk – Dolma La Pass – Zuthulpuk

Witness the magical sunrise on Mount Kailash before beginning the most challenging section of the trek. Cross the sacred Dolma La Pass (5630m) and visit Gauri Kund before reaching Zuthulpuk.

Day 08: Complete Parikrama & Return to Taklakot
Complete the final section of the Kailash Kora. Reach Chongdo, transfer to Darchen, and continue driving back to Taklakot.

Overnight stay at Taklakot.

Day 09: Taklakot – Hilsa – Simikot – Nepalgunj – Lucknow

After breakfast, drive to the border and complete immigration formalities. Fly by helicopter from Hilsa to Simikot and continue by flight to Nepalgunj.

Proceed by road to Lucknow for your onward journey, carrying unforgettable spiritual memories of the sacred Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.
